Giant Food Partners With Upside to Expand Personalized Savings Across All 163 Stores

Giant Food, a grocery retailer based in Landover, Maryland, has announced a new partnership with Upside, a popular digital marketplace offering cash-back rewards. Starting later this month, all 163 Giant Food locations will be accessible through the free Upside app, available on both Apple and Google platforms.

Partnering with Upside will help us stand out in a competitive market by delivering meaningful value to our customers every time they shop.”

Upside offers personalized, performance-based deals to consumers, encouraging engagement from shoppers beyond traditional loyalty programs. This strategic integration helps drive customer acquisition, increased visits, and higher spending without requiring any operational changes from retailers. Nick Worswick, President of Retailer Go to Market at Upside, highlighted the platform’s ability to foster sustainable business growth. Since its founding in 2016, Upside has delivered over $1 billion in cash-back rewards to consumers and connects more than 35 million users with deals at over 100,000 participating businesses nationwide, including grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants. Meanwhile, Giant Food’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize USA, was named one of the Retailers of the Century by Progressive Grocer as well as one of its Most Sustainable Grocers.

Crate & Barrel Partners With Imprint and Visa to Launch New Rewards Credit Card

Crate & Barrel Holdings (CBH) recently partnered with Imprint, a provider of co-branded credit card technology, to launch the Crate & Barrel Visa Signature® Card and CB2 Visa Signature® Card. The credit cards are designed to enhance the shopping experience across CBH’s four brands — Crate & Barrel, CB2, Crate & Kids, and Hudson Grace — by offering generous rewards and modern payment options, all with no annual fee. Powered by Imprint’s innovative platform and backed by Visa, the cards aim to provide a seamless, rewarding, and personalized customer experience.

For a limited time, shoppers can also earn 4% back at apparel retailers through March 2026. All other purchases earn 1% back in rewards. Additional benefits include early access to sales and promotions, exclusive event invitations, and milestone bonuses, including a $50 sign-up bonus for spending $1,000 outside CBH brands within 90 days, and a $100 annual reward for spending $10,000. The card also features flexible financing options, including 0% interest for up to 24 months on qualifying purchases, catering to customers furnishing or redecorating their homes.
