Bilt Rewards recently announced a major expansion into the student housing sector. The new initiative is launching in partnership with American Campus Communities (ACC), a Blackstone portfolio company and the nation’s top student housing provider. Alongside the expansion, Bilt has unveiled an industry-first feature allowing members to redeem Bilt Points toward student loan payments.
Beginning with Baylor University Properties, Bilt’s collaboration with ACC will allow students aged 18 and older to earn points on their rent payments, introducing younger consumers to financial tools that support financial literacy. Over the coming months, the program is set to roll out across ACC’s nationwide portfolio, which houses approximately 140,000 students.

In tandem with the student housing rollout, Bilt is also launching a new redemption option for student loan payments. With over half of undergraduates leaving school with an average debt of $38,000 per borrower, this option allows members to apply 1,000 Bilt Points for a $10 credit toward loans serviced by major providers like Sallie Mae, Naviant®, Nelnet®, MOHELA®, and Aidvantage®.
