JetBlue recently announced that BlueHouse, its first airport lounge, will officially open at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 on December 18, 2025, at 5 a.m. ET. The debut marks a major milestone in the airline’s JetForward strategy, focusing on delivering more premium, customer-centered experiences in the airport.
The 9,000-square-foot, two-level lounge blends Art Deco influences with JetBlue’s signature warmth and style. The space features curated local art, subtle nods to the airline’s history, and technology designed to create a smoother, less crowded airport experience. Guests can move easily between social areas, work-friendly seating, and quiet zones designed for relaxation.
JetBlue SVP of Marketing and Brand, Stephanie Evans Greene, said, “We wanted customers to feel like they’re stepping into a warm and stylish New York City apartment filled with character, where layers of JetBlue history and New York iconography can be discovered with every visit. Just as New Yorkers bring their own personality into a new space, we infused the space with JetBlue’s signature style to feel homey and comfortable when staying in our House.”

It’s warm, comfortable, and elevated in a way that’s distinctly JetBlue, with the hospitality and thoughtful amenities our customers have been asking for. As our first lounge, it represents an exciting milestone in our JetForward journey as we focus on bringing affordable, premium experiences from the aircraft to the airport.”
With a strong emphasis on local flavor, BlueHouse’s food offerings are curated by Union Square Events and include New York–inspired grab-and-go options such as bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches and chicken Caesar wraps. The beverage program highlights city-based partners, with craft beers, cocktails, curated wines, and barista-made espresso drinks, alongside specialty teas, chai, and matcha. Amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, plentiful power outlets, a game room, and a custom photo booth round out the experience.
Access to BlueHouse will be complimentary for Mosaic 4 members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and transatlantic Mint customers, with limited guest access available for a fee. JetBlue plans to carefully manage entry to avoid overcrowding. The JFK lounge is the first of several, with a second BlueHouse scheduled to open at Boston Logan International Airport in 2026 as JetBlue continues to invest in more premium products and an upgraded airport experience.
