PNC Bank has introduced PNC TotalRewards, a new loyalty program designed to strengthen customer relationships by offering greater value, transparency, and financial benefits. The initiative supports the bank’s broader goal of becoming clients’ primary financial institution by rewarding engagement across accounts and services.

PNC Head of Retail Banking, Alex Overstrom, said, “PNC TotalRewards is developed around the idea of building a true partnership with our clients. When someone chooses PNC, we want them to feel the full value of that relationship. Not only in exceptional service and hospitality, but also in the meaningful financial benefits that come from building a relationship at PNC.”

PNC Head of Loyalty Strategy and Platforms, Victoria Dravneek, said, “PNC TotalRewards gives us the opportunity to show clients their relationship genuinely matters. We’ve designed the program to provide tangible, straightforward benefits and to give clients more control over how they earn and use their rewards. It reflects who we are as a bank and the experience we want every client to have.”

The program gives all consumer clients access to benefits such as fee waivers, credit card rewards, and relationship-based perks from the start. As clients deepen their relationship with the bank, they can unlock additional advantages through a tiered system. Customers who maintain average balances of $25,000, $100,000, or $500,000 over 90 days qualify for Silver, Gold, or Platinum tiers, respectively. Higher tiers include enhanced rewards, better savings rates, and access to priority or concierge-level service.

PNC TotalRewards has been piloted internally and tested in select markets before a planned nationwide rollout. The program also integrates with the bank’s Premier Client offering, automatically granting higher-tier benefits to affluent clients. Additional features include automatic Silver-tier status for military members, no enrollment fees, and seamless tier upgrades as balances grow. Overall, the program aims to provide straightforward, meaningful rewards while giving clients more control over how they earn and use benefits.
