Yum Brands Puts Loyalty at the Center of Taco Bell and KFC Growth

As Yum Brands sharpens its focus on Taco Bell and KFC following its move to offload Pizza Hut, customer loyalty is emerging as a bigger piece of the growth strategy, as Restaurant Business reports. The company plans to strengthen its digital relationships with consumers by making loyalty experiences more personalized and useful. Taco Bell, where digital sales now account for 47% of the business, is preparing a Q3 app redesign aimed at improving menu discovery, order personalization, customization, and targeted offers while building on the popularity of features such as its weekly member drops. KFC, meanwhile, is expanding the loyalty program it introduced in the U.S. in 2024 to additional major markets as part of a broader effort to modernize the brand. Together, the initiatives signal Yum’s push to use loyalty not simply as a rewards mechanism, but as a tool to drive engagement, demand, and stronger customer relationships, according to Restaurant Business.

First Federal Bank Launches Virtual Branch for On-Demand Access to Live Bankers

First Federal Bank is expanding its digital banking options with the launch of FFB Connect, a virtual branch that gives customers remote access to live bankers through secure video, phone, and chat. Through the service, customers can open deposit accounts, apply for loans, explore lending options, get product guidance, handle account maintenance, and sign documents without traveling to a branch. Rather than replacing First Federal Bank’s physical locations, FFB Connect is designed to complement them by combining the convenience of digital banking with personalized assistance from experienced bankers. The bank marked the launch with a virtual grand opening on August 12, introducing customers and community members to the FFB Connect team and demonstrating the new service.

Warby Parker’s Store Expansion Strategy Drives Higher Traffic and Engagement

Warby Parker’s growing investment in physical retail is showing signs of momentum as the eyewear company makes stores a bigger part of its customer experience, as The Anchor reports. After opening 47 locations in 2025, Warby Parker plans to add another 50 stores this year while continuing its Target rollout and expanding access to in-store eye exams. Those moves come as the company has discontinued its Home Try-On program, potentially shifting more product discovery into stores. The strategy appears to be generating results: store visits climbed 23.5% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, while the share of visits lasting at least 30 minutes also increased. With an AI-enabled eyewear collection expected this fall and a longer-term ambition to reach 900 locations, Warby Parker is betting that a larger, more service-oriented store network can support its next phase of growth, according to The Anchor.
