DALLAS—Yes, people across North and West Texas are seeing double. That’s     because TXU Energy’s cash back offer has just, literally, doubled for     residents across the Oncor service territory. Through March 31, 2011,      new residential TXU Energy customers across Greater Dallas-Fort Worth,      Midland-Odessa, Sherman, Tyler, Waco-Temple-Killeen, and Wichita Falls     can earn 6 percent up from 3 percent cash back loyalty     rewards for their electricity usage in 2011.

Like the double cash back offer recently launched across the Houston and     South Texas regions, the new offer for North and West Texans follows TXU     Energy’s recent distribution of more than $30 million in cash back     rewards to enrolled customers for their 2010 electricity usage.

New customers in eligible service areas who sign up for TXU Energy Texas     Choice 36SM before March 31, 2011, will earn double cash back     loyalty rewards of 6 percent on their eligible billed electricity usage     in 2011 and the standard 3 percent for the remainder of their term. The     double cash back loyalty rewards will be payable via Visa® prepaid cards     in early 2012 to eligible customers in good standing.

Customers who want to earn cash back rewards on their electricity can     get more information about available plans and eligibility at txu.com/cash.      As with this year’s rewards, participating customers can spend their     reward dollars as they choose – including paying their electricity     bills, shopping, or donating them to charity through TXU     Energy Local ImpactSM, among other options.

When TXU Energy launched Cash Back Loyalty Rewards in 2007, it became     the first electricity provider to provide a cash back loyalty program     based on customers’ annual electricity purchases. In less than four     years, the company has already rewarded more than $60 million to its     loyal customers.

Launched in 2011, TXU Energy Local Impact is available at txu.com/localimpact.      The unique site allows visitors to donate to non-profit organizations     focused on environmental sustainability, emergency aid/relief efforts,      and education serving their local communities. Among other choices, the     site also allows donors to give to TXU     Energy AidSM, a program that provides bill payment     assistance to customers in need. Visitors can promote their activities     through social media — including sharing via Facebook, Twitter, and     email. The site accepts multiple forms of payment and provides a     contribution receipt for tax purposes.
