Southwest and Chase Enhance Rapid Rewards Credit Cards With Major Travel Perks and Bonus Offer
Southwest Airlines and Chase have announced a significant upgrade to their Rapid Rewards® Credit Cards, introducing enhanced benefits to make travel more convenient, comfortable, and rewarding. The new changes align with Southwest’s reimagined customer experience, which includes features like assigned seating beginning in 2026. Cardmembers now enjoy new perks such as earlier boarding, free first checked bags for up to nine passengers on the same reservation, and upgraded seat selections. In celebration of the revamped cards, new cardholders can earn 100,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points after spending $4,000 over the first five months, valid through September 17.
Chase President of Co-Brand, Chris Cracchiolo, said, “The changes we are making to our Rapid Rewards Credit Card portfolio will meet the new needs of Southwest travelers and provide greater value to our Cardmembers. As Southwest continues on its transformational journey, we are proud to be their partner and together will ensure that being a Rapid Rewards Credit Cardmember remains one of the most rewarding ways to fly with Southwest.”
The enhancements are spread across both consumer and business card portfolios. Cardholders earn 2X points on gas, groceries, and restaurants. Other features include 10% to 15% annual flight discounts, no foreign transaction fees, and improved Tier Qualifying Points (TQPs) for A-List status. Legacy benefits such as inflight purchase discounts, exclusive access to Rapid Rewards® Events, Companion Pass® boosts, and points toward tier status remain in place, making the updated credit cards one of the most rewarding ways to fly with Southwest.

Panda Express and CMN Hospitals Reach $200 Million Milestone in Support of Children’s Health
Asian dining chain Panda Express and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) have surpassed a major milestone in their longstanding partnership, raising over $200 million to support pediatric care. The funds, primarily donated by generous Panda Express customers and employees, go directly to CMN Hospitals’ member facilities across the country. The financial support plays a critical role in improving the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of children and their families during their healthcare journeys.
Panda Express Co-CEO and Co-Founder Peggy Cherng said, “We are immensely proud of the impact we’ve made together with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and this $200 million milestone is a testament to the incredible compassion and commitment of our Panda Express guests and associates. Every donation, large or small, has directly contributed to creating spaces of hope and healing, allowing children to focus on being kids.”
Central to the collaboration are the Panda Cares Centers of Hope, specialized healing environments within children’s hospitals. These centers are thoughtfully designed to offer young patients and their families a comforting break from traditional hospital settings. Equipped with playrooms, therapy spaces for art, music, and animals, along with gardens, chapels, and libraries, the Centers of Hope were created to instill strength, joy, and resilience in children facing medical challenges. The impact of the partnership extends far beyond financial contributions. With 72 Panda Cares Centers of Hope already established, more are set to open this year in hospitals across the U.S., including in Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, Idaho, and Texas.
