Shell Expands Rewards with New Credit Card

Shell has introduced the Shell Performance Elite World Mastercard®, a new no-annual-fee credit card designed to reward customers for more than just fuel purchases. The card offers 4% back on Shell fuel, EV charging, and in-store purchases, along with 3% back on dining and groceries and 2% back on all other purchases where Mastercard is accepted.

The company says the new card is built around simplicity and convenience, with rewards automatically applied as statement credits toward eligible Shell purchases. Customers approved for the card can begin using it immediately through a digital-first experience that includes integration with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and the Shell app. New cardholders can also earn a $50 welcome bonus after spending $500 within the first 60 days.

Shell also emphasized the connection between the new card and its existing Fuel Rewards® loyalty program, allowing users to stack additional fuel savings at participating Shell stations. The card was developed in partnership with fintech company Imprint and Mastercard, with executives from all three organizations highlighting the growing importance of flexible, easy-to-use rewards programs that deliver value across multiple spending categories.

MegPrime Introduces Rent Rewards Program

MegPrime has introduced a new rent payment rewards program designed to help renters earn money back on one of their largest monthly expenses. Through the MegPrime app, renters can receive rewards for paying rent, with some users eligible to earn up to $800 per month back in the form of MegPrime tokens that can be redeemed for cash or other currency options.

The program offers different reward tiers depending on the property. Renters at participating “Max Reward Properties” can receive up to $800 per month in MegPrime Tokens, while renters at non-partner properties nationwide can still earn 2% back, capped at $100 per month.

In addition to rent rewards, the platform includes programs aimed at helping renters save toward homeownership. MegPrime says users may qualify for thousands of dollars toward a future home purchase through its “homeForward” initiative. The company also noted that it received an SEC No-Action Letter earlier this year, allowing it to operate its MP token platform under regulatory guidance as it expands nationally.
