MCLEAN, Va. - The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize Hampton Hotels with a Gold, Silver and Bronze Adrian Awards for its advertising excellence for its winning entry in the 53rd annual Adrian Awards Competition, one of the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competitions globally.
HSMAI will pay tribute to Hampton Hotels during the 20th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives, on Feb. 1, 2010 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Hampton Hotels has retained its competitive edge for the past 25 years by anticipating guests’ needs and preferences and by maintaining an attractive, contemporary product for our owners. From the industry’s first 100% Satisfaction Guarantee to the segment’s first free breakfast; Hampton has continued to be an innovator but always with an eye to keeping costs under control for franchisees. Now with over 1700 hotels worldwide, Hampton continues to grow and be the hotel of value for guests.
Hampton’s campaign ‘An easier way to score’ was awarded Gold under the Loyalty Program category, the ‘Hoops’ campaign was awarded Silver in the Single TV spot, ‘MapQuest Biz Locator’ was awarded Silver in Web Ad Series and ‘Little Help’ awarded Bronze in the Complete Campaign. “Hampton is honored to receive these awards; working with DraftFCB Chicago on the creative process - we aligned our target segment and their personal values with what the Brand values are in a humorous and disruptive way to grab the attention of the consumer. The ad’s work hard at connecting with guests and driving Hampton brand performance,” said Judy Christa-Cathey VP Global Brand Marketing.
“Hampton’s goal is uncovering the key motivational triggers for guests. Once we uncover these insights, we then align them with guests’ personal values and Hampton’s brand value and then dimensionalize them in a way that breaks through the clutter,” said Christa-Cathey. “Whether it is how heavy business travelers can easily score more hotel points or simply find a Hampton hotel directly on their travel route showcasing Hampton’s added value and driving action is inherent in everything we do.”
This year’s contest attracted nearly 1,100 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry.
In addition to celebrating Hampton Hotels award-winning work, the Gala honors lifetime achievement and the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.” All winning entries will be accessible in the Adrian Awards Winners Gallery online following the gala at www.adrianawards.com.
Tickets are $350 per seat or a table of 10 for $3,500 prior to Jan. 12, 2009. Visit www.AdrianAwards.com for more information on tickets/table purchases. Adrian Awards benefactor partners are DEPARTURES Magazine, Google, TravelCLICK and TripAdvisor.
