Visa Expands Community Soccer Parks Across U.S. Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026
Visa, in partnership with Street Soccer USA and Bank of America, is expanding its Visa Street Soccer Parks initiative to every U.S. host city ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. These parks are designed to transform underused spaces into accessible community hubs that promote sport, connection, and learning. New locations are planned for major host cities, including Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, and Seattle/Tacoma, reinforcing a nationwide effort to leave a lasting community impact tied to the global tournament. In addition to building these parks, Visa is launching its Visa & Main program to support small businesses near each location, helping local economies benefit from increased activity.
Visa Regional President for North America, Kim Lawrence, said, “With the FIFA World Cup™ just months away, we’re shifting from preparation to execution. This tournament is a global moment, but its legacy is built locally—in the neighborhoods that will host fans, families, and the next generation of players. By expanding Visa Street Soccer Parks and supporting the local businesses and people who activate them every day, we’re turning tournament momentum into meaningful opportunity that lasts well beyond the final match.”
Each park is built with long-term community use in mind, featuring two professional-grade soccer fields, lighting for extended play, and spaces for learning and gathering. Programming is tailored to local needs and delivered with community partners, offering more than just recreational opportunities. These spaces will also support academic enrichment, job readiness, and broader community engagement. Early results from parks already operating in cities like San Francisco, Denver, Kansas City, and New York show strong community participation through leagues, education programs, and workforce initiatives. More parks are underway in Atlanta and Nashville.
