Cousins Subs Relaunches Round Up Campaign to Support Local Communities

Cousins Subs has relaunched its semi-annual Round Up Campaign this October to benefit the Make It Better Foundation, the company’s nonprofit arm focused on improving community health, fighting hunger, and supporting youth education. The campaign encourages customers to round up their in-store purchases to the nearest dollar, with all proceeds supporting vital local initiatives. Online and mobile app users can also join the effort by donating $0.25, $0.50, or more with each order.

Cousins Subs CEO Christine Specht said, “Every dollar our guests contribute has the power to make a real impact in the neighborhoods we serve. We are inspired by the generosity of our communities and proud that, together, we can help improve lives and make every day a little better.”

Since founding the Make It Better Foundation in 2013, Cousins Subs has donated over $1.3 million to nonprofit organizations. These contributions have funded college scholarships, provided meals for families facing hunger, and supported wellness and education programs across its communities. The Round Up Campaign is another step in the company’s mission to make a lasting difference through small acts of generosity.

Choice Hotels Expands European Footprint With Major French Market Growth

Choice Hotels International is significantly expanding its presence in France by adding 50 new properties to its portfolio, almost doubling its franchised locations in the country from 57 to 107. These additional hotels, representing more than 4,800 rooms, will operate under the Quality Suites brand and join the company’s existing Clarion, Comfort, Quality, and Ascend Hotel Collection properties in France.

According to President and CEO Pat Pacious, the expansion reflects Choice Hotels’ broader goal of accelerating international growth, which has already seen gains across Asia and the Americas. Pacious said, “This European expansion builds upon our significant international rooms growth already achieved in Asia and the Americas this year. By nearly doubling our footprint in France, we’re not only reinforcing our commitment to expanding our direct franchise business but simultaneously enhancing our value proposition for guests and franchisees. Expanding our presence is a transformative milestone towards making it easier for travelers to find the right stay wherever their journey takes them, and we’re thrilled to offer additional opportunities for more people around the world to experience the hospitality of our best-in-class brands.”

These new properties bring Choice Hotels to more than 30 additional cities in France, with a diverse distribution: 26% are in large urban centers such as Marseille and Bordeaux, 52% in mid-sized cities like Rennes and Colmar, and 22% in smaller but high-tourism areas, including Quiberon and Dinan. The strategic locations near airports, public transport, and city centers are expected to support both steady year-round occupancy and seasonal demand. With over 150,000 rooms now outside the U.S., Choice Hotels continues to pursue ambitious international growth targets, recently expanding in regions such as Latin America, China, and Canada through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
