Casey’s Honors Military Heroes Through Annual Fundraising Campaign
Casey’s General Stores is once again honoring U.S. servicemembers and their families through its annual round-up campaign for Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) and the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Through December 2, customers at 2,900 Casey’s locations can round up their purchases or donate through the Casey’s app. Casey’s has set a fundraising goal of $1.3 million, with a $25,000 contribution from PepsiCo already supporting the campaign.
Casey’s President and CEO, Darren Revelez, said, “It’s humbling each year to see the tremendous support from our guests, team members, and partners for the brave men and women who serve our country. This campaign is near and dear to me – and to the many Casey’s team members who have served. On behalf of our team, we thank our veterans, those serving today, and the families and communities who stand beside our heroes.”
Since 2012, Casey’s has raised over $11 million for HOPE and Fallen Patriots, including $1.2 million last year alone. The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation focuses on ensuring the children who’ve lost a parent in the line of duty receive the educational and career support they need, offering scholarships, financial aid, and career guidance. Casey’s contributions alone have funded more than 466 years of education for Gold Star scholars. To further honor those who serve, Casey’s is also offering active and retired military members a free coffee, fountain drink, or car wash on Veterans Day, and complimentary beverages for uniformed first responders year-round. In fiscal year 2025, Casey’s contributed $6.6 million toward community needs, reinforcing its mission to serve not only through convenience but through compassion and lasting impact.

CAVA Introduces “Flavor Your Future” to Build the Next Generation of Restaurant Leaders
CAVA is investing in the future of its restaurant leadership through a new initiative called “Flavor Your Future,” announced during its third-quarter earnings call. The program is designed to attract, train, and retain strong leaders across its growing network of restaurants. One of the first key actions under the initiative is the creation of an assistant general manager program to ensure that every restaurant has an experienced second-in-command present on more shifts.
CAVA CEO Brett Schulman said, “This role provides more experienced leadership in our restaurants on more shifts throughout the week, ensuring a clear number two leader is always in place. It will also create a stronger pipeline of roll-ready leaders to take on the GM role as we scale and open more restaurants.”
Currently, CAVA reports that 20% of its leadership team is ready for a promotion in the near term, while another 50% will be ready after additional training in the coming quarter, and the remaining 30% will be sourced externally. With a goal of reaching 1,000 restaurants by 2032, up from 415 at the end of Q3, CAVA plans to continue investing in labor and leadership to maintain operational excellence as it expands.
