AMC Expands Discount Days With 50% Off Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Stubs Members

AMC Theatres has announced a major enhancement to its discount ticketing program to make moviegoing more affordable for millions of guests. As of July 8, AMC’s popular “Discount Tuesdays” will be rebranded as “50% Off Tuesdays,” offering AMC Stubs members half off the regular adult evening ticket price all day at participating locations. The offer will now match the new “50% Off Wednesdays” program, which launched on July 9, ensuring two days each week of significant savings for movie fans. Additionally, AMC is offering its Small Popcorn and Drink Combo on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for 50% off its regular price, valid for in-theatre purchases only.

AMC Chairman and CEO, Adam Aron, said, “Following the overwhelmingly positive guest response to our announcement of 50% Off Wednesdays ticket pricing, two things became clear. First, our Discount Tuesdays program will benefit from clear, concise messaging that resonates with value-seeking moviegoers. So, we are changing our Tuesday prices and our Tuesday consumer communications such that Tuesdays and Wednesdays will both feature the same 50% Off pricing offer.” Aron added, “And second – those moviegoers are also seeking value on concessions. While moviegoers are not required to purchase any food or drink to take advantage of the ticket price discounts, and while we still expect many moviegoers will opt for others of our popular snack items, there is an opportunity to add incremental snack purchase revenues for AMC on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by our featuring on these two days a new 50% Off pricing deal on our Small Popcorn & Drink Combo as well. Whether it is through our highly successful A-List subscription program, discounted Matinee pricing, or our new '50% Off Tuesdays and Wednesdays' pricing program, AMC continues to offer bargain opportunities for those moviegoers who want to avail themselves of really superb deals.”

Moviegoers interested in joining AMC Stubs can sign up for free online, through the mobile app, or in person at any theatre location.

Walmart and Sam’s Club Pledge Up to $500,000 in Relief for South Texas Flood Victims

In response to the devastating floods in South Texas, Walmart, Sam’s Club, and the Walmart Foundation have pledged up to $500,000 in financial aid and in-kind contributions to help impacted communities. Their commitment includes matching up to $250,000 in donations from customers and members through a collaborative campaign with the Salvation Army, which will soon be accessible online and at store locations throughout Texas.

Walmart U.S. President and CEO John Furner said, “We are heartbroken by the devastation our associates, friends, and neighbors in Texas are facing, especially the families of those who have lost loved ones. To provide immediate assistance, Walmart and its partners have teamed up with nonprofit organizations to supply critical services and resources to affected residents. Operation BBQ Relief began distributing free hot meals at the Kerrville Walmart Supercenter (Store #508) on July 7, while laundry and shower services are being offered via Tides Loads of Hope trucks, supported by Procter & Gamble, Matthew 25: Ministries, and Walmart.
