Air India is partnering with travel loyalty provider Arrivia to enhance the Indian airline’s Flying Returns loyalty program, allowing members to earn points when booking cruises across more than 40 cruise lines. Cruise lines added to the Flying Returns program include Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruises, MSC Cruises, and Disney Cruises. Flying Returns reward members will earn five points for every ₹100 spent on cruise fares when booked through the Flying Returns portal.

“Flying Returns is no longer just about flights. It’s about enriching travel experiences, whether our valued members enjoy those on Air India or anywhere else around the world. We are delighted to present to our members exciting new ways to earn Reward Points beyond the conventional means in our effort to establish Flying Returns as a truly comprehensive loyalty programme,” said Sunil Suresh, Head of Marketing, Loyalty & E-Commerce at Air India.

As Arrivia’s iCruise program, which powers Flying Returns, celebrates its 20th anniversary, the travel solution provider is poised to help Flying Returns members embark on dream vacations, offering more than 30,000 international itineraries. The partnership between Air India and Arrivia will ensure members are rewarded through the program’s loyalty offerings while benefiting from high-quality cruise experiences.

The global cruise industry has shown resilience in an economically challenging landscape. Per the CLIA State of the Industry Report, global passenger volume was 31.7 million last year, almost 7% higher than 2019. Current projections for 2024 show that passenger cruise volume will likely reach 106% of 2019 volumes. By 2027, passenger volume is projected to hit approximately 40 million.
