A recent Maritz Motivation Solutions study, of more than 1,000 U.S. employees across several industry sectors, found that more than 50 percent of employees in the current workforce do not feel meaningfully rewarded and recognized by employer offered programs. The study also reflected a relationship between employees feeling meaningfully rewarded and recognized and indicators of engagement – the more meaningful the reward and recognition, the more engaged the employee.
