E-Gift cards are hot among consumers and a number of marketers have added e-Gift cards to their existing physical gift card shopping cart in the past year.
During the holiday season (October 1st through December 31st) an average of 33% of sales moved to e-Gift cards; one brand saw their sales migrate to e-Gifts over 55% of the time! That’s an amazing jump. In 2012, I’m expecting the total average of e-Gift sales for our clients to be between 45% and 50%, nearly matching the sales of physical gift cards.
