British Airways CXFrequent fliers will soon notice some exciting changes to the customer engagement offerings of British Airways. In an effort to enhance its customer experience, the UK’s leading flagship carrier is launching a redesign of its popular loyalty program.

Specifically revamped with business travellers in mind, the loyalty program will now include an “On Business” aspect, which promises a better customer experience for people flying on behalf of their company.

"We understand the needs of small and medium size businesses, and the changes will allow us to coordinate benefits, increase rewards and help stretch travel budgets across the British Airways, Iberia, and American Airlines network," said Moran Birger, British Airways Regional Commercial Manager.

“On Business” will come with three distinct tier levels and each will be match to the needs of various travelers. Individual tiers will also come with personalized offers, bonuses and services that can all be managed through a user-friendly online account system. Furthermore, it will be accompanied by a new and easily maneuverable website.

“The revitalized 'On Business' will also better meet the flying needs of this dynamic and growing sector,” Birger continued. “It will be simple to understand and easy to use, improve the management of members' travel costs and reward their spend.”

Additional benefits will come via significant financial discounts. British Airways’ loyalty program already purports to save customers £30 million a year on flights, and now it will increase savings by rewarding points based on spend instead of the number flights booked or miles flown.Business travelers

And since this new loyalty program dynamic is directly targeting business travelers, many of the rewards are also designed specifically with this class of flyer in mind.

One such reward is the chance to win free seats on an exclusive mentoring flight to Austin, Texas.

"In addition, the British Airways' Mentoring Flight will give a lucky group of specially selected SMEs the once in a lifetime opportunity to receive brilliant business support through two amazing mentors from one of the world's best business incubators, the Capital Factory," Birger said.

Austin, Texas, has been called “the heartland of innovation” in the United States, and Capital Factory is a renowned startup incubator that can help burgeoning business professionals achieve their own high level of success.
