Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have officially launched a combined loyalty program called Atmos Rewards, replacing HawaiianMiles and expanding on the Alaska Mileage Plan. Although both airlines will continue to operate under their own brand names, Atmos Rewards now serves as the unified loyalty program for travelers across both carriers.

The program introduces standout benefits, most notably complimentary upgrades to business class seats on long-haul flights for top-tier elites, something no other major U.S. carrier currently offers. Atmos Rewards also differentiates itself by letting members choose how they earn elite status—whether by distance flown, dollars spent, or flight segments. Starting in 2026, travelers will even be able to change their preferred earning method once per year, a level of customization designed to fit different travel styles and budgets.

Transitioning into Atmos Rewards is largely seamless. Alaska Mileage Plan members are automatically enrolled, while HawaiianMiles members who have linked their accounts will see their balances and statuses transfer at a one-to-one ratio. By October 1, 2025, the HawaiianMiles program will be fully retired, and members’ miles and statuses will migrate into Atmos Rewards. Even Hawaiian’s branded credit cards will continue to function after the transition, earning rewards and qualifying activity directly within the new program.

A new premium product, the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Card, has also been rolled out, offering lounge access, companion awards, and accelerated elite benefits with a $395 annual fee. The combination of new perks, expanded credit card offerings, and the unified program structure aims to capture more high-value travelers while retaining long-time loyalists from both airlines.
