Uber Customer ExperienceUber is making customer experiences even quicker and easier for commuters travelling from point A to point B. As mobile smartphone navigation becomes the primary method to locate destinations, Uber has partnered with YP to add another level of convenience to its popular app-based transportation network.

Customer engagement levels among YP has already exceed 70 million users every month and may gain even more traction with Uber, the number one crowd-sourced ride service in the country. Dedicated to helping local businesses and communities thrive by providing an online presence through local search options, display advertising, and direct marketing, YP brings customers and businesses together.

For Uber, this new partnership will reduce the time users spend searching for a local business and then ultimately arriving at their desired location. YP’s API integration marks the first time Uber has incorporated an independent local search engine from an outside party.

“We’re thrilled to work with Uber to offer consumers an easy and convenient solution for commuting to their local businesses,” said Darren Clark, CTO at YP. “YP wants to ensure people are able to complete their local commerce tasks with ease. Through API integrations, we are transcending the limitations of a single app by providing an enhanced experience to our users that allows them to do more all within the YP platform.”

As consumers are bombarded with a near infinite stream of mobile apps, YP was determined to break through the noise with a more inclusive, far reaching, and Uber Customer Experiencesseamless customer experience, which is available for Android and iOS mobile devices. After completing a search for any kind of local businesses such as a grocery store or a hair salon, YP app users can then request an Uber ride directly from the YP businesses register. Once the YP user requests an Uber car, they will arrive at their destination in minutes.

As one of the most popular local search engines in the country, YP claims that it will help more local businesses increase the number of consumers that visit their stores. Additionally, YP has already introduced a number of previous partners, which include integrations with Fandango, GrubHub and Goodzer. Therefore, this new integration with Uber is merely the latest in a series of such integrations.
