Perfect Corp. has partnered with Tom Ford Fashion to introduce an ultra-realistic 3D virtual try-on (VTO) experience for the brand’s luxury eyewear line, bringing advanced AR technology directly to Tom Ford’s e-commerce platform. The initiative aims to redefine how consumers shop for high-end sunglasses and optical frames online, offering a more immersive and accurate digital experience. The new VTO capability will roll out across the U.S., Canada, and Europe by the end of 2025.

The virtual try-on solution allows customers to view Tom Ford eyewear styles on their own face in real time using only a standard web browser — no apps or specialized devices required. Built with Perfect Corp.’s proprietary AI and AR engine, the experience delivers highly detailed 3D frame renderings that move naturally with the user’s face.

One of the most notable features of the virtual try-on is automated pupillary-distance (PD) measurement, which ensures that frames are scaled correctly for each user. This enhances accuracy around fit, appearance, and proportion, addressing a common challenge in online eyewear shopping.

From a retail perspective, Tom Ford sees the technology as a way to bring the sophistication and personalization of in-store luxury eyewear fittings to the digital environment. By giving shoppers a clearer sense of style, fit, and aesthetic before purchasing, the brand aims to boost confidence during the buying journey, strengthen engagement, and reduce product returns. The collaboration reflects an ongoing shift in luxury retail, where brands are incorporating immersive digital tools to meet evolving consumer expectations for convenience and personalization.
