Kimpton Hotels Collabs With Tiny Zaps For Tattoo Pop-Ups

Boutique hotel chain Kimpton Hotels, a subsidiary of IGH Hotels, recently announced an exciting new collaboration that offers tattoos for guests by Tiny Zaps, an innovative tattoo studio known for its minimalist, meaningful designs. The partnership introduces a pop-up series that merges travel with self-expression, offering guests the opportunity to get complimentary tattoos as unique souvenirs from their journeys, reflecting the culture of the city they’ve visited. The initiative started this month and will run monthly through June at select Kimpton hotels across five major U.S. cities.

The Kimpton x Tiny Zaps Tattoo Pop-Up Series taps into the growing cultural trend of “tattourism,” which is popular with Millennials and the Gen Z population. Tattourism is a modern twist on the centuries-old tradition of travelers getting inked to mark their journeys. In each host city, a special tattoo collection will be available, inspired by local landmarks and cultural elements. For example, in New York, tattoos will draw on the Theater District’s vibrant spirit, while New Orleans guests can choose designs celebrating Bourbon Street’s energy. 

Tiny Zaps brings a network of talented local artists to the table, each with a distinct style and local following. Each hotel will host three pop-up events, and participating hotels include the Kimpton Theta in New York, Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Washington, D.C., Kimpton Everly Hotel in Los Angeles, Kimpton Hotel Fontenot in New Orleans, and Kimpton Aertson Hotel in Nashville.
