Key takeaways:
-
Students do not need a sports pass to join Charged Up, and attendance remains free for several sports, including soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, tennis, and track & field.
CU Athletics and the University of Colorado Boulder Division of Student Life are introducing Charged Up, a new student loyalty program designed to reward school spirit and make attending athletic events even more exciting. Beginning August 5, eligible undergraduate students can sign up to earn points by attending CU Athletics events throughout the year. Those points can be redeemed for improved access to home football and men’s basketball games, along with exclusive experiences and rewards. The program is open to all eligible undergraduate students, and students do not need to purchase a sports pass to start earning points.
The new initiative also enhances the student sports pass experience. Sports passes for the 2026-27 academic year go on sale August 19 for $265 and include a collectible Nike Dri-FIT “Gold Rush” student section T-shirt—the first in a new annual tradition. Students will receive initial point allocations based on class year and completed credit hours, then continue building their totals by attending CU Athletics events, with bonus points available for arriving early and staying until the end. Together, the sports pass and Charged Up program aim to reward loyal fans while creating an even more energetic home-field advantage for the Buffs.
